I currently have >$100 of Alpaca yarn in the hatch of my car. o.O

Who can guess what it's for? (It's so geeky, you'll never guess)

making your own blankets?

My wife's making something, but it's not precisely a blanket. She does knit some super-awesome things, though. :)

A monkey pony monster?
A stuffed alpaca?
A flying spaghetti monster hat?

From: [identity profile] scirocco.livejournal.com
Nope. All good guesses (and geeky).

The only other thing I could think of was a Klein Bottle hat.

Nope. No WAY would it take $100 of Alpaca Wool to make something that small. :)

She's knitting a uterus, isn't she?

Heh, nope, it's for me. What would I do with a knitted Uterus? :)

A cover of some sort for you moniter.... not sure what it will look like, Violalee had one that looked like moose antlers. I'm guessing something like that.

Before scrolling down and perhaps seeing a spoiler I'm going to guess a computer cover or a PS2 Cover or something like that.

It's a "Something" cover, alright....

do you thread it through your nose, out your mouth, and do that nasal floss act in quincy market?

HELL NO YUCK. You don't waste Alpaca on that!

She's knitting you a seat cushion....

Ooooh, closer. It is to be used when sitting!

A big ottoman/footstool

One of those cusions for the big pappasan chairs... or a faux beanbag cover. What has me stumped is that is is $100 worth... Alpaca is expensive, but that is a lot of yarn...

A smoking jacket? hahaha

From: [identity profile] scirocco.livejournal.com
Heheh, nope. Also, keep in mind, Alpaca may cost more here in MA than it does where you are. EVERYTHING probably costs more here.

a pad/form that you sit in your lap that holds your laptop at just the right angle/position to be able to use when sitting. A lapdesk kind of thing.

Excellent suggestion, except I have a desktop.

Well then... a wrist support comes to mind, but that wouldn't use $100 worth of anything that is a fiber... a lumbar cushion?

From: [identity profile] scirocco.livejournal.com
Nope. Hee.

I'm actually going out of town right now. I'll see if anyone else comes up with ideas, and I'll spill the beans Sunday night or Monday. It's fun seeing what ideas people come up with. :)

I never saw if the beans were spilled. What the hell is she knitting for you, I have pondered it all weekend and then some....
goodness, tell the tale already. :-))

Hah! Natalie actually pretty much figured it out on TIM the other day. She's making me a... "Gamer's Shawl." It's a big wrap for me to wear around my shoulders and down my arms, because I get cold at my desk playing games in the non-warm months. I'd stolen hers to wear a few weeks ago, and she caught me, and after she finished laughing, she asked me if I wanted her to make me my own. :)

Too cool... You should look spectacular, and the alpaca will be wonderful...

Somking jacket was close though...

You're probably right. After all, I have llamas and alpaca just a couple of blocks away and there are more than can be counted, and the mills to go with them. So I'm sure it cost more way out east where y'all are. haha

A new alpaca?

I think you'd need a couple $100's in Alpaca Innards too, and they're REAL hard to knit. :)
