Firefox help, anyone?

volksdragonSomewhere around Firefox version 1.2 or so, I stopped being able to open IMAGE links into new TABS with the middle mouse button on my mouse. I can still open HTML links into new tabs with the middle button, but I can't do it with IMAGES as links. Anyone got any idea if this was intended? It sure is annoying if not. :)
