Today, for the first time in my life, in the State of Massachusetts, I bought a case of beer. All hail progressive political and social views. :)

Sunday. It's never been available on Sundays before. I drink PLENTY of beer, and most of it in MA. :)

Certain towns did allow it before. If you were within 10 miles of a VT or NH border, you've always been able to buy alcohol on Sundays. Greenfield and Montague allow it, so I guess I forgot it was a big deal to the rest of the state.

Then again, since I don't really drink, it's not a real big deal to me anyhow. :)

Don't get too used to it.

It's only from Thanksgiving to New Years or some such thing. They did the same thing last year in Westborough. I guess the "Alcohol is evil" crowd thinks it's OK to get smashed during the Holidays but not the rest of the year.

Blue laws are dumb. What if a Church finds out it's out of wine Sunday morning? They can't go out and buy more! :)

I know they did pass the law repealing the prohibition against selling on Sundays, so I'm hoping it sticks around after the holidays.

I always grinned while driving home through South Carolina on a Sunday, seeing the broom handles and whatnot shoved through the convenience store beer cooler door handles.
