I had enrolled Widget in a two-day drama studio class. I'd had some mis-givings, since the webpage was a big jumble of events, and it seemed a little amateurish, but the director is known around the area, so I went and signed her up.
I got an email this morning, at 1:30am, saying that the class was cancelled due to illness, for the rest of the week.
I can understand being sick, but if you're running a class like this for multiple children, which have parents that are probably depending on their kids being taken care of so they can, oh, I don't know, FUCKING GO TO WORK OR SOMETHING, this is a pretty rotten thing to do. If you are running a program like this, YOU NEED BACKUP.
I am not amused. And now I have no idea what the hell I'm going to do with my kid today or tomorrow.
