I don't understand how that happened-- isn't he supposed to be in a control room somewhere with a headset, able to hear the broadcast and speak into her ear bud? Was he somehow out in the studio, or did a switch get flipped so that his mic was being broadcast, or what?

Funny, but I bet asshole producer keeps his job after finding someone else to blame for the open mic . I can't imagine someone being that abusive in the workplace without their boss(es) already knowing, and not caring.

Found an explanation online: A comedian had found this video, and over-dubbed himself as a producer overheard. Not as tragic, but still funny.
