And another thing....

What the heck is it with Unitarians and their unnatural desire to bring Spring around in the middle of December? Every service from now until April 21st is going to have people standing up extolling the virtues of Spring! Soon will come spring! Spring is near! We just need to wait out this winter, and then SPRING will be here.
A: Winter's a necessary Season. If there was no winter, the land would get no rest from growing things, and everything would die.
B: Winter has plenty of charms by itself!
C: It's only been winter for LESS THAN A MONTH!
D: Spring brings RAIN, MUD, WIND and FLOODING. They'll be complaining about that soon enough.
In summation, CUT WINTER A BREAK, SUCK IT UP, AND TRY TO ENJOY YOURSELF. (Or Move South.) :P

Date: 2008-01-07 09:17 pm (UTC)BUT, I understand that it is part of the natural cycle of the seasons. I don't enjoy it, but even I don't think it's all bad. Well, except when "winter" ends up lasting 6 months here in Maine. :) If we lived more in tune with the natural cycles of the world and such, we'd be settled in and hibernating right about now, rather than doing many of the things that annoy us in the winter. Keep me warm, and I'm happy. :)
