I'm not shy about saying I like violent movies, they appeal to the basic instinctual masculine stupid part of my brain. But this movie has that, and emotional content, and attempted repentance, and apologetic failing at that repentance. It's got a friend dying for a friend, dying for trying to do the right thing, and Al Pacino delivering a really good performance as a conflicted man who knows he's doing the wrong things, but just can't defy his nature enough to do the right thing.
And the last scene almost always has be closer to sniffling that I'd like to admit. He comes so close to making it out.
