Embarassing Autocross story

OK, so this is my third year driving Solo-2 now, albeit my third year in three different cars. I was second overall in the Novice class my first year. I finished a respectable 4th in class last year, my first year in Open class. This year, I'm actually winning my class so far (3 events in). So, I'm not half-bad at this stuff.
I'm racing Nate's car. At our event on Thursday, there was a woman there with her husband who was racing his new Pontiac GTO. One of our SCCA local rules is, "No Passengers unless the passenger is the instructor, OR an instructor is driving." This woman had apparently done a few autocross events a few years ago, and she asked the head of our region if she could get a ride on the track, just to see what it was like. So, the regional director went and got Nate, who was done with his runs (he isn't driving his own car this year) to take her for a ride in his car.
Now, when I ran my times, my best time was a 65.039. Jeff, my co-driver, ran a 65.2. The class winning time for us (in STS) was a 64.1. Nate, with a passenger, on ONE RUN in the car he hadn't driven all day, ran a 62.5. Argh
Mark's comment? "DUDE! HE BEAT YOU BY 2.5 SECONDS, WITH A PASSENGER? That's EMBARASSING!"
Yes, yes it was. Nate is fast. I have much to learn. :)
