I figured I should get going on our own.
Plan 1: Moving the TV/Entertainment area into the room behind our kitchen
Status: TV Procured. Room Measurements taken. Ikea visited for furniture/rug possibilities. Sea chest in back room 85% emptied out. "Spare" wardrobe upstairs in bedroom emptied out to be removed so Sea chest can go upstairs in its place.
Plan 2: Remove crappy tile in Kitchen, leave under layer until we re-do entire kitchen
Status: Remember how everyone you ever discussed removing vinyl tile with said, "JUST LAY THE NEW TILE ON TOP OF IT?!" Now I know why: removing that fucking adhesive SUCKS. I have something that removes it, but it's almost impossible to do it evenly. 85% tiles removed (except for about 10 total under cabinets and fridge), still in process of destickifying the floor. Yuck.
Plan 3: Fix funny smell coming from dryer
Status: removed rear of dryer, vacuumed out 1800 cu. ft. of hair, fur, dust, and lint. Smell is better, if not gone. May need to replace dryer heating coil (electric)
Plan 4: Make Golf wheels shiny
Status: Done. Acheived while waiting for destickifying goop to work. Wheels are now uber-shiny.
Plan 5: Clean up/declutter basement
Status: This one was actually made possible by the DirectTV guy coming over, when I realized that when he attempted to reach any of the cabling and failed in the basement, he'd simply leave me with a pile of cable and tell me to do it my goddamned self. This was achieved last Sunday/Monday. It's a LOT better, but not yet done.
OK, back to destickifying. Wheeeee.
