Hypothetical situation

Let's say you're the administrator at a company. The automatic coffee machine (push buttons, receive coffee drinks) breaks. You put a sign on it that says it's broken, do not touch.
Let's say I come along and fix it. Considering...
A: If I don't fix it, it's still broken, and repair guy comes to fix it
OR
B: I break it worse, and repair guy STILL comes and fixes it
OR
C: I fix it, and you get saved a repair call, and we get our coffee machine back....
Is it reasonable that you get all bent out of shape when I come to you and say, "Hey, I saw the machine was broken, and I saw the sign, but I'm good at fixing these things, so I fixed it"
