Friday: Work in daytime, drive out to Westborough for "welcome" cocktail time with the New England Region Sports Car Club of America (NER SCCA) for the annual awards banquet. Had a few beers, some free food, made it home around 11.
Saturday: Up at 6:30, had waffles with my daughter. Left at 7:30 for Westborough (again) for the actual day of meetings and fun and Banquet. 9-Noon was meetings about our group, Noon-2 was the "worker appreciation lunch" (I got a nice umbrella) and more socializing. Meetings from 2-4, and then we played some Guitar Hero for an hour, and then got dressed for the banquet. My very nice (and unfortunately sick) wife came out to join me for the banquet, to see me get my class winner trophy. She stuck it out until the actual dinner was over at 9pm or so, and then graciously gave me leave to hang around while she drove back home. We ended up in a hotel room playing Guitar Hero in one of our hotel rooms until... 1:30am? I made it home by 2:30, fell asleep immediately, and then was back up by 7:45 to make it to church, as we were singing Sunday morning.
Sunday: Sang in church. I must learn to not bother trying to explain how we REALLY sounded from within the choir, everyone said we sounded great, but I thought we sounded not great. Maybe it was just me. :)
After church, the daughter and I drove up to Cambridge to meet a friend back visiting from working overseas, and we had lunch at the Galleria. The rest of the afternoon was spent around the house, watching the Roomba do its thing, setting up the new iMac (SEXY) and cleaning up a little.
Today? At work! Drove in to work through a LOT of snow very early. Still took almost an hour due to traffic. DIE, YOU PEOPLE WHO CAN'T DRIVE IN SNOW! DIIIIIIIEEEE!
