Some of my thoughts on poems and poetry.

Real good poetry cannot be written except on the occasion of some life-changing, or at least life-shaking event. Therefore, either all great (or prolific) poets have either extremely volatile lives, or their threshold for determining what a life-shaking event is is lower than the average poet's threshold.
