I'm not sure why the TV exploded. All I know what Ordell was about to walk into Max's office and buy it at the hands of Jackie Brown, where there was a loud *POP* and the TV went dark. Oh yeah, and I started cursing. Probably for the best, as it was 2am, and I should have been asleep anyway. :)
