Workout Log

Hit the gym again tonight. Avoided any exercise that involved me pushing with my shoulder, or even most pulling. That ruled out chest presses, overhead presses, and my favorite compound row machine. I hit everything else, as well as the bicep and tricep extension machines TWICE. I hope my shoulder gets better soon.

Sorry you hurt yourself! Don't overdo...my uncle has had either 2 or 3 rotator cuff surgeries and it's NO FUN.

*hugs* & good for you for working what you could, anyway :)

Be careful with those bi/tri machines too. The way some of them are set up puts some pressure on the shoulder girdle. I assume you're keeping it light, but take a look at some of the guys who go in and really up the weight on the bicep machines (it's always biceps) - watch how their shoulders move. Sometimes I wonder if they'll pop their shoulders out!

I will check. The motion on my shoulder felt minimal. It's the machine where your upper arms are inclined slightly towards the ceiling, and then you just flex the biceps to bring in the handles (in an arc). The triceps machine is the same, except obviously, the motion is the opposite direction. I (sadly) avoided doing dips or pull-ups, even though I like doing them, to avoid the shoulder area as much as I could. :(
