The Messiah!

I am singing Handel's "Messiah" on Sunday, December 3rd, 6pm, at the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene. I would like as many of you as would like to come and hear me (and 55 other people) singing. :)

Note that if you'd to hear the difference with and without me singing, you can go and hear the Saturday 7pm performance which I will NOT be singing in first. :)

Handel's Messiah Rehearsal

I am holding a very large copy of Handel's Messiah in my hands, after my first practice. Eek.

Yeah, it's do-able. I have to learn to sing without breathing, though.

Weekend Choir

Having had only one week to practice the (admittedly easier) pieces for the church service this week, we did a much better job (I think) than we did at Xmas. The songs sounded a lot more confident and together on the songs.

It was pretty funny. I can never sing in the morning. I wake up, and even an hour later, my voice is crap, I can't sing any high notes. I noticed after an hour of warming up, suddenly my voice SHOWED UP and the notes I couldn't quite make in practice, they were FINE in performance, which is good because it woulda sounded like crap had I not made the notes. :)
