*Le Sigh*

Where have all the good men gone and where are all the gods?
Where's the great white Hercules to fight the rising odds?
Isn't there a white knight upon a fiery steed?
Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what i need

I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero till the end of the night
He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast
He's gotta be fresh from the fight
I need a hero
I'm holding out for a hero till the morning light
He's gotta be sure and he's gotta be soon
And he's gotta be larger than life

I really dig Imogen! This is a good song. Are you ok, though?

Yeah, I'm OK, but if Floyd Landis really flunks his second drug test, I may never watch cycling again.

Lots of parallels between Lance and Floyd. Comeback from cancer, comeback from hip condition. Comeback in 1999, comeback in 2006 Stage 17.

The hip condition sounds potentially suspicious, but supposedly came about from a previous injury. And yeah, one would need to take strange drug cocktails to deal with it.

It doesn't seem that unreasonable that one might treat hip issues with hormones.

It does seem strange that if he had been using steroids, that they'd only show up until Stage 17, and not sooner. I didn't think that 'roids worked that fast.

Or do they think the steroids are a side-effect of blood doping? (I thought most people were smart enough to harvest their red blood cells when they were free from drugs/steroids, so when they doped the RBCs back in, they wouldn't re-introduce the banned substances.)

It's depressing, but I don't know what to think.

I told Floyd he shouldn't eat that whole batch of "Basso's Man Brownies."

The roids can have a relatively quick effect, but even better is straight up testosterone. Certainly the ability to recover very quickly is a prime reason to use either. (More important to the bikers than super muscles, obviously.)
