Last Thursday, Dave gleefully laid out the possible (fatal) consequences what a compression jack mishap might mean for the two of you. Needless to say, we are happy that you made it out alive. I've played way too much Resident Evil recently to picture one of the friends making big red streaks across a wall...

Yeah, that beam made some pretty eerie noises. We stopped and re-placed the jack 2 or 3 times when we noticed it wasn't going up straight. And when we saw the big crack appearing under the jacking plate, yeah, time to lay off the jacking a while. :)
